I was looking for an affordable home theater seating solution and stumbled upon this in Amazon. The reviews were pretty good, so I decided to give it a shot. Overall, I am very pleased with the purchase given the cost.
To begin, each seat is received in its own box that includes the base and the back of the chair. I thought the two loveseat chairs would be connected, but they were not. When I put them in my theater room, I then started looking in the packing material for directions and hardware to secure them together. There were none. It then occurred to me that each chair is an independent unit that "floats" on its own. On a carpeted surface, that may not be an issue as the chairs do have some decent heft. My chairs are on a somewhat smooth (and quasi-slippery) floor, however, so I am waiting to see if they wind up separating from each other given routine use.
Assembly really was a piece of cake. Set the base down, attach the back by sliding a bracket on both sides of the back into the corresponding hardware on the rear or the base and push down until it clicks. The electrical in the back plugs into the base, and the base plugs into the AC adapter (which goes into the wall). Simple! I do have cats that like to chew on things... I am hoping they leave these cords alone because they do appear to be proprietary (and not a simple thing to replace if they are chewed through by a pet). Also, the back of the chair is covered with a loose leather flap that allows the cats to sneak right in without a problem. Something more firm to prevent pets from crawling under the chair would be nice. Not the manufacturer's issue, mind you, but given home use, the likelihood of a pet or child doing something disruptive maybe should be a consideration.
Once arranged, assembled, and plugged in, the chairs are almost ready to go. Just screw the little pole into the underside of the rotating arm table, insert the pole into the chair, and that's all there is to it. The power recline works great and is a reasonable speed (not too fast, not too slow). The chair back does extend a little further to the rear when reclined versus sitting upright, so you will need a few inches of clearance behind the chair to accommodate. Not too bad, though. The power headrest is nice and works kind of like a "pillow" that elevates when you are reclined. There is a "home" button that returns the chair to its "normal" (non-reclined) state, as well as memory button to save your favorite position. I liked the under-chair LED lighting, as well as the lighting that goes around the cupholder. It would have been nice if the LEDs could turn different colors as opposed to only blue. Given that units with that functionality were more expensive, however, it was a tradeoff I was willing to make.
The seats are a little more firm than I thought they would be, but they are comfortable and it seems like they will hold up very well over time. (We shall see.) The leather is comfortable. The storage bin in each arm is a nice feature (good for holding magazines, books, remote controls, etc. I also like the rotating arm tables. They are a decent size without being too intrusive.
The company also called me a few times proactively to check on the status of the delivery and see how everything went. They simply went to voicemail, but I do appreciate them reaching out.
Ultimately, if we could give half stars, I would probably rate these seats at 4.5 stars. Really nice for the money, but not quite perfect. (Would like them to connect together with LEDs that could change color. Oh... Heated seats would have been a really nice feature too.) Still, if I have to round, given the value for the money, along with the ease of setup and the comfort of the chairs, I have to round up to 5 stars (as opposed to rounding down to 4).

Best chairs I've ever owned, the quality is great, easy to assemble. Plus so comfortable! Only thing is, I wish they offered tablet holders.

Ahhhhh. We LOVE these seats! They arrived a week before schedule. The leather is nice, backs are supportive, the trays are perfect for snacking and laptops for work. We could not be more pleased with these chairs. We highly recommend this product. The customer service we have received is superior to any we've received for any Amazon or non Amazon product. Excellent as our everyday couch. The lights and USB ports are also great and convenient.
